Well, COVID-19 has again upended our plans. Given the status of the control of the virus, and the virus mitigation measures in place in North Carolina,
The Club has cancelled our 2021 Winter Board Meeting set for February 17-24, 2021 in Concord, North Carolina.
While there are therapeutics hitting the ground as I write this, with more on the way, they will not have been widely enough distributed to positively impact our ability to hold our meeting as scheduled.
Given the Club's potential liability under the event contracts, and the most importantly, the potential health risk to our members, we determined that cancellation was warranted.
HOW DO YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK?
The hotel has already begun issuing refunds to those having made reservations using the Club’s group code. If you have a hotel reservation and do not receive a cancellation by the end of the day, or if you made your reservation outside the Club “block” you will need to contact the hotel or Embassy Suites reservations directly.
Event Registration Refunds:
First, and most important, DO NOT CALL THE OFFICE about refunds! The registration refund process will begin shortly. We will verify member information and audit the registration to assure the accuracy of the amount of the refund due to you.
For those of you who charged your registration, we will issue credits to the original card used to secure your registration. You should see a credit appear on your card’s statement per your bank’s policies. If your card is unable to accept a credit transaction, or if it is rejected by your banking institution, a check will then be sent to you by mail.
If you paid by check, you will receive a refund check by mail.
If you paid by card and by check because of an automobile registration, you will receive both types of refunds. Our goal is to return everyone’s registration fees as soon as we are able.
Please allow us time to complete this process in a timely manner.
We had hoped that this would not be necessary, but as many have said,
“Corona Virus don’t care” what you have planned. Hopefully, with therapeutics arriving, and more on the way, this pandemic will subside in the next few months and we can all safely get back to our lives, and automotive pursuits.
We’ll confident we will be able to hold the Grand National July in Albuquerque. It’s going to be a great event, hope to see you there.
Until then, stay safe.
